or, visit the Health Information Management department in the Health

Returning students will be able to enroll in the 2008-2009 Aetna Student Health Insurance Plan beginning August 1, 2008.
New students, returning students, and parents: We are pleased to announce that UCF has approved a new Student Health Insurance Plan for the 2007 – 2008 school year. The Plan is administered by The Chickering Group, an Aetna Company, and is significantly enhanced with benefits at a very attractive premium. We encourage you to take time to review the details of the Plan as you consider how to protect yourself against the increasingly high cost of medical care – costs that can occur at any time because of an unexpected accident or serious illness.
The Plan is designed to complement the state-mandated health fee, which is included in the tuition payment. Although the health fee entitles students to unlimited access to UCF Health Services without an office charge, and sets charges for services (x-rays, lab tests, etc.) at below average rates, it does not cover specialty care, medical transport or hospital services. That’s why students need another level of protection – a plan that provides financial benefits by covering many of the medical care costs associated with illness or injury.
We are pleased to recommend this Plan for your consideration. Not only does it cover nearly all charges incurred through UCF Health Services, it also provides substantial benefits in Central Florida, nationwide, and even when traveling or studying abroad. We encourage you to visit Chickering’s website or contact their Customer Service Department (1.866.378.8881) for more information.
